SLCN.TV

SLCN.TV started out in May 2007 as an experiment to prove that applying the metaphor of live television to virtual worlds results in a powerful catylist for the creation of both entertainment and corporate content.

By focusing on a co-production model an applying innovations to create inexpensive just-in-time production, SLCN has become the number one virtual worlds television company.

In the first five months of operation, SLCN co-produced a staggering 150 hours of published entertainment content and engaged hundreds of producers and talented residents to become part of the live television phenomenon in virtual worlds.

As of September 2007, SLCN has 10 regularly scheduled weekly shows and the list is growing.   Four targeted channels provide 24 hour replays of current weekly content, and there is even a video program guide so people know what’s coming up.  Over one million SLCN shows have been downloaded from our archives and some of our largest events have exceeded 30,000 live viewers.

In addition to regular programming, SLCN has produced some notable special events in education, music, and business.

What people say about our efforts:

“SLCN provided coverage of the in-world press events we hosted for 300, Die Hard and the Transformers. The live broadcast of the Transformers event and post-event archives meant we were able to reach a significant audience otherwise unattainable. I wholeheartedly support the work done by SLCN and believe they will remain an essential and significant player in the virtual worlds future.”

“SLCN’s broadcast coverage of the Second Life Best Practices in Education conference was the secret to our success -- 24 tireless hours of reporting, intervierws, narration of text-only events, and a fantastic staff to boot!”
